The BRC and KPMG have released Retail Sales Monitor data for January, c overing the five weeks 29 December 2019 - 1 February 2020. On a Total basis, sales increased by 0.4% in January, against an increase of 2.2% in January 2019. This is above both the 3-month and 12-month average declines of 0.4% and 0.2% respectively.
